Lamisil is an antifungal medication that fights infections caused by a fungus that affect either the toenail or fingernail. As oral granules, Lamisil is also used to treat fungal infection of scalp hair follicles in children 4 years old and above. How to use Take this orally with or without food as directed by your doctor. It may take several months to see the full benefit of this drug. Continue to take this medication until the full prescribed amount is finished. Stopping the medication too early may allow the fungus to continue to grow. Consult your doctor before using this drug. Possible side effects Diarrhea, upset stomach, temporary change or loss of taste may occur. If any of these effects persist, tell your doctor. Precautions Tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease, immune system problems or lupus.
