USES: To treat herpes infections of the skin, mouth, mucous membranes, genitals, shingles and chickenpox. This does not cure herpes but relieves pain and makes the infection clear faster.
HOW TO USE: Take this medication when symptoms appear. Take it at evenly spaced intervals.
SIDE EFFECTS: This may cause stomach problems, loss of appetite, nausea, diarrhea, dizziness or weakness. These effects should go away as your body adjusts to the medication. If they persist, inform your doctor.
PRECAUTIONS: This medication should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
