Tizanidine is a muscle relaxant. It works by blocking nerve impulses (pain sensations) that are sent to your brain and temporarily relaxes muscle tone. This medication is used for daily activities that require muscle relief. How to use This medication can be taken with either a full or empty stomach. Alcohol may increase the sedative effect of Tizanidine tablets. It is not recommended to drink alcohol while taking Tizanidine tablets. Consult your doctor before using this drug. Possible side effects Drowsiness, tiredness, dizziness. An increase of blood pressure when stopping the treatment suddenly.
